 " A Neighbourhood Watch (NhW) file is available for scrutiny in the Thaxted Community Information Centre (TCIC) This file contains Incident Reports and other material affecting our area from the Uttlesford District NhW Team. These reports are informative, but may also be asking members of the public for information regarding specific local incidents. EYES & EARS.  
If you see any suspicious or unusual activity around or have information which you think might help the Police,  please call ESSEX POLICE on 101.
 
FREE NEIGHBOURHOOD WATCH MEMBERSHIP PACKS are available from the TCIC. These contain:- 1. A guide to Home Security, 2. Keep it Safe, Keep it Locked, 3. Be Aware - Bogus Callers, 4. Antisocial Behaviour - Incident Diary, 5. Coded for Keeps - Marking your property.
 
"MESSAGE IN A BOTTLE". This Emergency Information Scheme is voluntary and intended for use by people living at home; especially the elderly and vulnerable. It provides the Emergency Services with vital details of any alergy or illness your may suffer from; medication you may be taking and the name of a person to be contacted in the event of your suffering a sudden illness or personal accident.
How it works.
Your details are stored in a small plastic container, which is kept in your fridge. Two special stickers known to the Emergency Servicesand other Caring Agencies are put inside your house - one on the outside of your fridge door and one on a wall or panel inside your front door.
