** COVID-19 Emergency measures** - Latest Updates

In line with precautionary measures released by the government the Public Office for the Parish council will not be accessible for face to face visits. The Parish Council remains open and business as usual continues, all Councillors together with the Clerk and Guildhall Custodian are contactable vie email. The Office phone is setup with message divert and all incoming calls will be actioned appropriately.

Please also Note the closure of the Guildhall until further notice.

Update: 15/05/20 - 15 recycling centres in Essex will be open from Monday 18 May. Only waste and recycling which cannot be stored at home without causing a health or safety risk will be accepted. You should only visit a recycling centre if absolutely necessary. The safest way to get rid of your waste and recycling is using your kerbside collection.

New restrictions and social distancing measures will be in place to ensure the safety of all residents and site staff. Please check for up to date information before travelling.

Update: 01/5/20 -  The Friday Street Market remains open with some new stalls for your enjoyment, Olives and Game and indian spices and food. Official government advice to deter public gatherings to prevent the spread of Covid-19 applies, however given that we sell only FOOD we are exempt. The Parish Council are NOT however responsible for policing social distancing, please take appropriate and responsible actions to protect yourself and others.

update: 01/05/20 - The Public Toilets at Margaret street car park are RE-OPEN from 1st May.

update: 24/3/20 - The Play Park at the Recreation Ground has also been closed upon official government advice to deter public gatherings to prevent the spread of Covid-19.

update: 24/3/20 - Parish Green Waste at Margaret street car park. this service has been suspended until further notice.

Update: 16/04/20: Garden waste collection service set to resume Uttlesford District Council is pleased to announce that its garden waste service will restart from next week (beginning 20 April).  

All scheduled meetings are also now cancelled: (this includes the APA 2nd April & the Full Council 9th April) further info will follow in time.
